Dr. John Bartok received his undergraduate degree in Psychology and English and Masters in Student Personnel from The Ohio State University. He then attended Harvard University Graduate School of Education and received a Masters in Human Development. He completed his doctoral work at the University of Cincinnati in Clinical Psychology with specialization in Neuropsychology. His pre-doctoral internship was at the University of Michigan/Ann Arbor VA and he completed his post-doctoral work at the University of Illinois at Chicago Neuropsychiatric Institute.

After serving as an Assistant Professor in Pediatrics at the Rush Neurobehavioral Center, he began a private practice specializing in the neuropsychological assessment of children, adolescents, and young adults.

In addition to his clinical practice as a Neuropsychologist, Dr. Bartok regularly speaks on executive functions, working memory, attention, emotional regulation, personality, and nonverbal learning disability topics to a variety of audiences from parent and teacher groups to national meetings.
