Comprehensive,  Integrative,  Neuropsychological Assessment

Welcome

Dr. John Bartok has over 20 years experience providing integrative neuropsychological assessments for children, adolescents, and young adults ages 7 to early 20s. The strength of a comprehensive and integrative neuropsychological evaluation is the ability to integrate the findings across these various domains in order to provide a full picture of your child’s functioning. My emphasis is on understanding your child’s strengths, weaknesses, and learning differences. I use a variety of assessment methods including cognitive tests, clinical observations, behavioral questionnaire data from parents and teachers, psychological tests, history, and a comprehensive interview. To understand how your child functions in other environments, I also obtain information from teachers and other professionals working with your child.

Comprehensive Neuropsychological Assessment

The three main domains that comprise a thorough assessment are: Cognitive Ability, Academic Achievement, and Psychological Functioning. There are multiple subdomains within each of these broad categories.

I have expertise evaluating children and adolescents with a variety of cognitive, academic, and social issues. Many of my clients present with complex, puzzling, and overlapping symptoms. Some of the common difficulties and presenting problems I evaluate include:

• Attentional Problems
• Executive Function / Organization • Reading Disability / Dyslexia
• Math Disability / Dyscalculia
• Written Language
• Mood and Anxiety Disorders

• Language Disorders
• Emotional Dysregulation
• NVLD and Autism Spectrum
• Social Learning Difficulties
• Tourette's Syndrome
• Seizure Disorders / Brain Injury
